Student noteArchitect John Soane's private home, preserved exactly as he left it - walls, cabinets and ceilings crammed with architectural models, antiques and paintings, the whole space as dense as a carefully designed maze. Free entry, though you'll often need to queue on-site due to limited numbers. It's in Lincoln's Inn Fields along with the Hunterian, so you can do both in one go.
