Student noteBritain's first public art gallery, designed by John Soane, with red walls, gold frames and natural light pouring in from above — very photogenic. The collection is mainly 17th and 18th century European paintings, student tickets are cheap. The surrounding Dulwich Village area is quiet, good for a slow half-day visit.
