Student noteThis century-old umbrella shop on the corner of New Oxford Street has been open since 1830 and the shopfront has barely changed. They make handmade umbrellas and walking sticks, with short or long handles, straight or curved, in leather, wood, or resin, and there's a workshop downstairs for repairs or alterations. Worth a wander even just to browse like a souvenir window.
