St James's Park

Student noteThe park is home to a group of pelicans, originally a diplomatic gift from the Russian ambassador to Charles II in 1664, now cared for by the Royal Parks team. Around 2:30pm daily you can watch them being fed near Duck Island Cottage. It's a short walk from Westminster or St. James's Park station, great for a stroll, photos, or bringing kids.
