Student noteLannan in Edinburgh doesn't have the crazy queues people talk about. The pastry is solid and the croissants are excellent. The Roast Pork focaccia sandwich is worth getting — the sweet-sour sauce with roast pork isn't greasy, though the focaccia is baked a bit too hard, so watch your teeth. The Mont Blanc isn't cheap, and the chestnut cream is good but the chocolate sauce is on the heavy side, so chocolate lovers will enjoy it more. The Bouchon is just average, don't waste stomach space on it.
